Laying of the First Stone of the Future House of Agriculture

The building, to be located in the Sants-Montjuic district on land granted by Barcelona City Council, will be managed by the Private Foundation for Farmers of Catalonia, a body that brings together professional agricultural organisations and the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Catalonia.

The Catalan Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Action, Joaquim Llena, presided over the event, which also drew representatives of various agricultural organisations and the Managing Director of Mercabarna, Montserrat Gil de Bernabé, as a representative of Barcelona City Council on the Foundation’s board.
